Yesterday afternoon Messrs Wigham Richardson and Co. launched from their Neptune Works, at Newcastle-on-Tyne, a handsomely modelled steamer, of great power, for the Fratelli Lavarello fu Gio Batta fleet. She is 300ft. long, 35ft. broad, and 20½ft. deep, and is fitted, like her sister vessels built by the same firm, from end to end for emigrants and passengers. As she left her berth she was gracefully christened the Citta di Genova by Miss Margaret White of Bournemouth, and is now alongside her builders' quay for her machinery, which has also been constructed b the firm, and is of their well-known Tweedy patent triplex type.
