Sarah Oliver, a widow, living in the Dell, Kingsclere, was charged with having, on or about the 27th December last, stolen a hoe and a shovel, the property of John Gregory, chimney-sweep, who lives in premises adjoining the accused. Several witnesses having been examined, Mr. Fox, addressing her, said there was a doubt in their minds as to the truth of Sarah Baggs, the principal witness's statement, and the case would be dismissed.
