	Peacefully in his sleep at Albright Manor, Beamsville on August 29, 2007, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Jean for 65 years. Cherished father of Douglas (Beverley), Sharon (Paul), Linda (Charles), David (Deborah), Anne (Bruce), Nancy (Paul), Beverley (Thierry) and Peter (Jennifer). Much loved Papa to thirteen grand-children and five great-grandchildren. Survived by his sisters Irene and Gloria and brother Lloyd. Harold started his career as a baker in the Jarvis Bakery in Grimsby, eventually founding and operating Harold Jarvis Real Estate, where he was a successful broker for over fifty years. Passionate about the Grimsby community, Harold was involved as a Mason, a member of the Lion's Club, a School Board Trustee, active in Trinity United Church and the Grimsby Business Men's Association. Jean and Harold were great collectors and teachers of Canadiana antiques and Harold was the president of Glassfax. Harold had an optimism and love of life which anyone who knew him found contagious. His beautiful singing voice was heard at many weddings and singsongs and most recently at Albright Manor. Visitation at Trinity United Church 100 Main Street West, Grimsby on September 3, 2007 from 12 p.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 2 p.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to West Lincoln Memorial Hospital or the Albright Centre Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family. 2013-12-17	SCHAEF, Annie Irene November 24, 1919 – December 17, 2013 Irene died peacefully in her 95th year. Beloved wife, for 70 years, of George Cairncross, deceased March 9, 2012; loving mother of Dr. Bruce (Diane) Schaef of Toronto, Jane de Man (Guus) of St. Catharines, and Donald (Donna) of Calgary; proud grandmother of Michael (Karen) Buckley of Fonthill, Jenny Buckley of Ottawa, Hanna and Kathleen Schaef of Calgary; and loving great grandmother of Ella Jane Buckley. Irene was born in Grimsby, Ontario, daughter of the late Albert and Annie (Runciman) Jarvis. She was predeceased by her brothers, Dr. Albert Jarvis, and Harold Jarvis, and her sister, Norma Clark. Irene is survived by her brother, Lloyd Jarvis of Dundas, and her sister, Gloria Wilby of Toronto. Irene was an active member of Rideau Park United Church in Ottawa and Trinity United Church in Grimsby. Irene was involved in UCW in both Grimsby and Ottawa. She belonged to the Grimsby Historical Society, was a volunteer with Second Stage and instrumental in the founding of Fair Share. Her greatest love was her family. Private family arrangements.
