F5. JANE THOMAS born TRAISH

Jane Traish was born cal 1757, possibly in Whitchurch, Hampshire. She married [F4] William Thomas at Whitchurch, on the 21^st October 1779, by licence.¹

Their children were: Fanny (1780 – after 1809), William (1781 – ?), [F3] Jane (1783–1837), Elizabeth (1786–1819), Thomas (1788–1848); Daniel (1791–1842), and Robert (1794 – ?); Elizabeth and Thomas were born at Ecchinswell, all others at Hannington.²

Her body was buried at Hannington on the 24^th December 1834.³

3 parish register; according to Kingsclere Families Jane was the second child and second daughter of the William Traish who married Jane Martell at Whitchurch on 31 March 1749, but her age as calculated is the only evidence given for her birth or baptism (the marriage is confirmed by "England Marriages, 1538–1973," database, FamilySearch: 10 December 2014, William Trash and Jane Martell, 31 Mar 1749, citing Whitchurch, Hampshire, reference index based upon data collected by the Genealogical Society of Utah, Salt Lake City, FHL microfilm 1,041,304
