Doctor's Daughter Weds CHARMING CEREMONY at St. PETER'S The wedding occurred at St. Peter's Church, Bournemouth, last Saturday, of Miss Joyce Mariabella White, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. How White, of 4 Marlborough road, Bournemouth, and Captain V.R.W. Cranford [sic], M.C., R.A., son of the late Mr. H.L. Cranford, C.M.G., Ceylon Civil Service, and Mrs. Cranford, of Wathing. The Rev. Canon H.L. Marsh officiated at the ceremony. The bride was given away by her father, and wore a gown of white silver threaded lame, with a train of similar material lined with pale blue georgette, a tulle veil and silver shoes. Her attendants, attired in pale blue georgette with head-wreaths of primroses and forget-me-nots, were Misses June Harris (cousin of bride), Stella Cranford (niece of bridegroom), Angela Scott, Beryl Creed and Ann Longstaff. Nearly 300 guests attended the reception held at the Prince's Hall, Grand Hotel, where the bride cut the cake which she had herself made at the Carlotta School of Cookery. |
