Yesterday afternoon Messrs Wigham Richardson and Co. launched from their Neptune Works, at Newcastle-on-Tyne, a handsomely modelled steamer, of great power, for the Fratelli Lavarello fu Gio Batta fleet. She is 300ft. long, 35ft. broad, and 20½ft. deep, and is fitted, like her sister vessels built by the same firm, from end to end for emigrants and passengers. As she left her berth she was gracefully christened the Citta di Genova by Miss Margaret White of Bournemouth, and is now alongside her builders' quay for her machinery, which has also been constructed b the firm, and is of their well-known Tweedy patent triplex type. WHITE—MAUNSELL

The marriage took place on Tuesday afternoon at Holy Trinity Church of Miss Grace Millicent Maunsell, daughter of Major and Mrs. R.G.S. Maunsell, of Amberd, Bournemouth, and Glenwood, County Clare, Ireland, to Mr. Edward How White, M.A., M.B. Oxon., son of Dr. J. Gregory White of West Knoll, Bournemouth, and Aspley Guise, Bedfordshire. The officiating clergy were the Rev. R. Maunsell Eyre, assisted by the Rev. Canon Eliot, (rural dean) the Rev. A.E. Daldy (vicar of St. Peter's, Bournemouth), and the Rev. C.C. Wilson. The service was choral, and there was a large attendance of friends of the bride and bridegroom. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dress of ivory satin, trimmed with Limerick and Bedfordshire lace, and she carried a handsome bouquet of lilies of the valley and other white lilies, white carnations, and white roses, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids were Miss Nancy and Moira Maunsell (sisters of the bride), Misses Mary and Edigh Gregory White (sistes of the bridegroom), Miss Felicia Weldon, and Miss Winifred Fair, Miss Carol Burder (niece of the bride) acting as train bearer. The bridesmaids' dresses were of cream sprigged muslin, and they wore crinoline hats, safety pin, aqua-marine brooches, and carried bouquets of La France roses. Mr. George Crosfield acted as "best man." Following the ceremony a reception was held at Amberd, and later in the afternoon the bride and bridegroom left for the North of England for their honeymoon. The bride's travelling dress was of pale blue material trimmed with Maltese lace.
