John Morland Spence Funeral services will be held today for John Morland Spence, retired Baltimore business man who died Thursday in Richmond, Virginia. Mr. Spence was born in Newcastle, England, on August 30, 1876, and came to this country at the age of 14. He was a resident of Richmond for about 30 years and then came to Baltimore where he was an official of a meat-packing concern and later engaged in the insurance business. He moved to Richmond on his retirement, about a year ago. His wife, Mrs. Nellie Garrison Spence, died six years ago. Mr. Spence is survived by two sons, Dr. John Morland Spence, Jr., and Thomas Morland Spence, both of Baltimore; a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Garrison Clark, and two grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 P.M. in an undertaking establishment at North and Pennsylvania avenues. Burial will be in Druid Ridge Cemetery. |
