MR J. MACARTNEY AND MISS OLIVE M. RICHARDSON. The marriage took place at Westminster Cathedral, by the Rev C.E. Brown, assisted by the Rev H.K. Mans, D.D., of Mr J. Macartney, of the Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment), son of Lieut.-Colonel Macartney, of 76, Cromwell Avenue, Highgate, of the same regiment, to Mss Olive Mary Richardson, daughter of Mr Henry Richardson, of 75, Victoria Street, Westminster, S.W., formerly of Backworth Lodge, near Newcastle. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a gown of soft white satin charmeuse, caught up with sprays of orange blossom, and she wore a necklace of pearls, the gift of her mother. She carried a sheaf of white lilies, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids were the Misses Marietta Macartney, sister of the bridegroom, and Sarah W. Edmundson, cousin of the bride. Their costumes consisted of pale pink satin, trimmed with cream lace, and cream straw hats to match, trimmed with pink ribbon and La France roses. They wore pearl and gold pendants, and carried bouquets of pink roses, the gifts of the bridegroom. The best man was Mr John V. Macartney, of the Leinster Regiment, the bridegroom's brother. After the ceremony a reception was held at St. Ermin's Hotel, St. James' Park, S.W., where the numerous and beautiful presents were on view, and later in the afternoon the happy pair left for Scotland, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride's travelling costume consisted of champagne-coloured poplin, trimmed with blue, and a hat to correspond, with Lancer plumes. Among the guests were General Henry Kent, Colonel-in-Chief of the Middlesex Regiment; Mrs Harold J.
