Sarah Bonnel was born around 1751–2, and baptised at Winterborne Abbas, Dorset, on 8 July 1753.1
She married [G4] John Ferry on 21 February 1770, at Winterborne Abbas, by banns, marking her name. The couple had twelve children: [G3] John (1771–1836), William (1773 – ?), Mary (1774 – ?), Robert (1777–1847), James (1779 – ?), George (1781–1864), Clementina (1783–1852), Samuel (1784 – ?), Isaac (1785–1785), Sarah (1787 – ?), Elizabeth (1793 – ?), and Charlotte (1796–1850); the first three were baptised at Compton Valence, the remainder at Burton Bradstock, Dorset.2
By mid-March 1809, "being ill", she was given 5s. by the parish, and a further 2s. by the beginning of April, and 6s. by the end; subsequently she received a regular monthly allowance until her death, receiving a final payment of 7s. 6d. for the last three weeks of her life.3
Her body was buried at Burton Bradstock on 30 October 1816.5
Sarah Bonnel was the 2nd child and 2nd daughter of [G10] George and [G11] Mary Bonnel.5

He married [G11] Mary Best at Winterborne Abbas, Dorset, on 15 January 1739. Their children were: Clement (1743 – ?, b. Chilfrome, Dorset), Jane (1747 – ?), and [G9] Sarah (1753–1816) (both b. Winterborne Abbas).1
On 30 July 1758 he was described as a labourer, and included in the list of Winterborne Steepleton men liable to serve in the militia.2
The body of George Bonnell was buried at Winterborne Steepleton on 13 November 1783.3

Mary Best was baptised at Winterborne Steepleton on 6 September 1712.1

The body of Mary Bonnell was buried at Winterborne Steepleton on 13 August 1785, the affidavit being brought the following day.3
Mary Best was the daughter of Robert and Honour Best.4

Robert Best was baptised on 25 March 1691, at Witchampton, Dorset.1
He married [G15] Honour Trivett on 11 June 1705, at Long Bredy, Dorset. Their children were apparently: Anne, (1707/8 – ?), Joan (1710 – ?), both b. Long Bredy; [G11] Mary (1712–1785), and Robert (1714 – ?), both bapt. Winterborne Steepleton.2
The body of Robert Best was buried at Winterborne Steepleton on 28 February 1719/20.3
Robert Best was the son of [G13] William and [G14] Avis Best.4
