Watson, Samuel Grainger, died at his home in East Greenwich, Huron county, Ohio, September 15, 1925, at the advanced age of 95 years. 

Born June 17, 1830 in Canandaigua county, N.Y., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Watson, he came to the Firelands with his parents when three years of age. The remaining 92 years were spent in Huron county. 

He was a devoted member of the Methodist church and a man of fine character. 

Five children survived him, Mrs. Alice Griffith, of Shelby, E. M. Watson of Greenwich, C. A. Watson of Ventura, California, William L. Watson of Greenwich, and Charles E. Watson, of Norwalk. 

Funeral services were held in the East Greenwich Methodist church and interment was made in the East Greenwich cemetery which was formerly a part of the farm on which Mr. Watson made his home.
