A melancholy accident happened at Lincoln's Inn Bridge, near Sedbergh, on Friday se'nnight. Ann Middleton, a woman who had been long in the habit of carrying stockings from Dent to the manufacturers in this town, had the misfortune to be killed by the overturning of her cart; she was found almost immediately after the fatal accident laying under the horse, but not before the vital spark was extinguished. The deceased was a woman of excellent character, and her death is much regretted.
