C4. ANN JARVIS born BENNETT

Ann Bennett was born in Kent in about 1777–8, and baptised at Chatham on the 19th July 1778.1

She married [C3] Joseph Jarvis on the 23rd January 1804, at St Peter's, Thanet, Kent. Their children were: Charlotte Eleanor (1807–1858), William Bennett (1810–1855), Mary Eleanor (1811–1828),  [C2] Samuel Hugh (1814–1891), Elizabeth (1818–1920), and Joseph (1825–1843); all but William were born in Kent and/or baptised in Chatham.2

In 1841 "Anne" Jarvis lived with her family at Yew Tree Cottages, Chatham.3

She died on the 16th May 1850, after 12 hours of sanguineous apoplexy, in Whittakers Street, Chatham. She was buried in Chatham on the 23rd.4

Ann Bennett was the eldest child of [C5] George and [C6] Ann Bennett.5

C5. GEORGE BENNETT

George Bennett married [C6] Ann Connell on 5 September 1777, at Chatham. Their children were: [C4] Ann (1778–1850), Rebecca (1780–1861), James (1782–1859), Elizabeth (1785–1856), Charlotte (1788 – ?), and Eleanor (1795 – ?), all baptised in Chatham.1

He was one of the witness at the marriage of his daughter Elizabeth in January 1807, at Frindsbury.2                   

He may have been the George Bennett who was buried at St Mary's, Chatham, on 20 May 1821, aged 77.3
